Can obesity in cats lead to diabetes?

Although not all cats that are overweight become diabetic, it is still a leading factor of cats that do become diabetic. In order for a cat to become obese, he must consume more calories than he can burn in a day. In our experience, the only way for the vast majority of our carnivore friends to accomplish this, is to consume an improperly balanced diet.

All cats are strict carnivores and nature only intended them to eat meat and fat from animal sources. No grains, vegetables, fruits, starch, or any other plant material.
