Guar Gum

Guar gum is a non-digestible soluble fiber that is produced from a bean. We use a highly refined, human grade product in all our foods. Soluble fibers are present in all animals in the form of connective tissue. When your cat consumes small prey animals they consume an abundance of soluble fiber. Soluble fiber is a natural part of your cat’s diet and one of the many reasons we guar gum.

Guar gum has been extensively studied in both animals and humans and has been shown to have many health benefits. It's been shown to lower LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and increase glucose tolerance. Guar gum also supports glycemic control, reduces the fasting blood glucose levels and reduces the need for insulin in diabetic patients.
 
Guar Gum does not interfere with the normal digestion and absorption of glucose, protein or fat. It is used to alleviate GI pain, cramping, diarrhea, excessive flatulence and slow the rate of digestion which means your cat will feel full and satisfied longer.
