My vet had recommended adding psyllium husks to my dog's diet because he consistently had very soft stools. Trying to hide the husks in pumpkin, yogurt, peanut butter, etc only worked for a while because he would eventually refuse the food. This food contains the husks and his stools are now normal.

Ramsey the Rottweiler approved of her first bag of YA kibble. For a dog that drops turds the size of clydsdale, it was nice to clean the yard and not need a reinforced steel shovel (just kidding, but the size of her stool really did get smaller). We decided to try YA because her stomach has become more sensitive with age, and we were dealing with unimaginable gas 24/7, inconsistent stool texture, and piles of vomit galore. The vet gave her a clean bill of health and suggested we switch to a more GI friendly dog food. The YA kibble checked all the boxes, and definitely seemed to help alleviate a lot of the symptoms she was having. Her prior kibble (from costco) had a reccomded daily feeding guideline of 5 cups for a dog her size. Aside from just having cleaner ingredients, I think the smaller portion size (2.75 cups) also alleviated some of her digestive issues associated with how much kibble she physically had to eat each day just to get the appropriate caloric intake. That said, after switching she also seems to always think that she is being starved and needs another 2 cups of food. Hoping that with time her brain/body adjusts to the smaller portion size because she has not puked a single time since switching to YA! Although its a little bit more costly to feed than her other dog food from Costco, its still fairly comparable price wise on an as fed basis, and the quality truly seems to be above and beyond anything you can buy from a box store. Best pet food company around! Our kitties love their YA kibble too and its been a real life saver (literally) as a house with multiple cats, including a diabetic kitty.
